TO Books announced on Thursday that T?ko Amekawa’s Reincarnated in a Mafia Dating Sim light novel series is getting an anime adaptation. The publisher also revealed that the series has surpassed 350,000 copies in circulation, including digital sales.

Tokyopop releases Sora G?to’s manga adaptation in English and describes the story: A yakuza boss’s granddaughter is reborn as Francesca Calvino, the heroine of a mafia-themed otome game where crime families serve the king. Determined to avoid another doomed life, Francesca plans to follow the game’s main route perfectly and escape the underworld—starting with breaking off her engagement to the villainous mafia heir Leonardo Aldini. But after handling her own kidnapping with ease, Francesca accidentally catches Leonardo’s attention even more, and he refuses to let her go. Life becomes complicated when the game’s biggest villain won’t stop pursuing her.

Amekawa began the story on Sh?setsuka ni Nar? in 2022, and TO Books published the first novel volume with illustrations by Meiji Anno in 2023. LINO took over as illustrator starting with volume four, released on August 1. G?to launched the manga on the Corona EX website in 2023, with the fourth volume released in March; both the novels’ next volume and the manga’s fifth will ship on December 1.

Amekawa’s other works include 7th Time Loop, which received a TV anime in 2024, and The Legendary Witch Is Reborn as an Oppressed Princess, published in English by J-Novel Club.

Shogakukan announced on Friday that Hinasho’s SHION manga is receiving a net anime adaptation that will debut on YouTube. The official channel will fully launch on December 1, releasing the first installment of the series. The project is being produced and managed by BitStar Anime, the anime-focused brand of BitStar Inc.

Hinasho began the series in Monthly Coro Coro Comics earlier this year, and Shogakukan released the first compiled volume on Friday. The manga is also available on the Weekly Coro Coro website.

SHION follows Shion Hiiragi, a junior high student and elite bodyguard who secretly protects his classmate Emi Zaiin, the heir to a powerful corporation and a frequent target for assassins. Once Emi discovers Shion’s covert mission, the two join forces to safeguard their everyday school life together.
