This was the first anime I ever bought. I saw it in the commercials on the old Pokemon VHS tapes, and I liked it so much it set me off on anime fandom in general.
-The style and color scheme are a little dated, but they are easy on the eyes like a movie on film vs digital.
-One issue could be that many characters appear quickly, and very few are introduced in the movie that aren't specifically in the movie only. It wasn't a problem for me, but it could be a bad place to start Ranma 1/2 for some viewers less interested in the action portions.

-The story takes the protagonist(Ranma) to China in order to rescue his fiance from a team of legendary martial artists. This plays out like a sort of rom-com homage to Bruce Lee's Game of Death, with various interactions from the cast established in the TV show prior to this movie. Although not truly groundbreaking, it is a solid storyline that is easy to follow and doesn't convolute the humor and combat.
-The sound and music are mostly call-backs to tunes and effects used during the show's overall run, so are recognizable and somewhat nostalgic. The audio atmosphere is quite nice, and I personally am a big fan of the song used for the end credits(which was also in the adverts) "It's Love" by the band RABBIT.

--Overall, this movie was a major gateway to thousands of further hours of anime and manga enjoyment. I would recommend it for a younger mind that could be interested the the martial arts portion without worrying about the characters being developed outside of the movie, or as a very good full-length experience for fans of the show itself.

This anime has no unpredictable plot twist no any thrilling part. At the same time, it isn't boring either. I guess we could just say that the anime made me watch it until the end because I haven't watched much anime lately, but I'll say the anime is not a waste of time. :)

This is actually a good enough that will keep you watching until the end. However, the initial episodes of the anime lacks viewer retention elements that will make them get hyped to watch this anime.

I don't think I've ever sobbed this hard. I don't usually fw early/established relationships but oh my god this show is so beautiful and realistic. Like after finishing this season I cannot even bring myself to watch the second one out of genuine fear for my sanity and wellbeing...

i really enjoyed thos show although i hate the 'little sister trope' so. much. but other than that i found it to be really fun and nostalgic. my favorite parts were when the animation style would switch to be more cartoonish, reminds of ouran highschool host club lol

Honest, this was some high fantasy I've been looking for in an anime. Don't get me wrong it's very "Harry Potter at Hogwarts" type of vibe at first but it ended turning me for a loop. I got so invested around the moment of the protagonists background story and completely hooked as soon as I got confirmation about another character. It ended up being so fun and exciting with each new battle. The characters started being more than just the tropes. I don't want to give away too much but once worldbuilding started playing into the decisions of the story I was craving more. The animation is enough said, the pacing on the slow parts feel slow but in a good way, but once the action hits; it hits fast and hard. The music is gorgeous and honest, I'm going add some of them to my D&D games. I look forward to the 2nd season desperately!!! I really do hope you guys give it a chance because I know this went under the radar when it came out but please don't sleep on it!!

I enjoyed this more then I thought I would, and can honestly say i am really looking forward to season 2 when it drops. The story itself I could see as being boring to a lot of ppl, as it only revolves around basically the main character building a village and bringing a bunch of peoples together and keeping them safe it is kinda a nice fluffy anime to watch and forget the drama around us.

Basically, the peak of 2012 anime. If I'll be bias, I'll give it all a 10.

So I don't really think I have much to say as I've watched this constantly along with the first season and I have already given my review on the first season. Nevertheless, rating or giving a review on the second season, I think it lacked some aspects. The thrill that the first season gave me was actually different from this season.

I was thinking maybe one of the reasons why was because the second season was a supporting season to briefly explain everything that happened during in the first season. Although the second season tells a different story, there is this feeling that tells me this season is all about explaining character backgrounds, telling their strengths, flaws, and history.

All in all, it is definitely an amazing anime! This got me hooked up to watch the manga and being the naive person that I am, I might expect a lot of disappointments and dismay if I read the manga. Nevertheless, I'll still read it! Thank you for this amazing anime! If ever the 3rd season comes, I'll make sure to watch it! ^_^
